Editorial Policy

Transparency in Journalism

At GreeNews, we are committed to independent, accurate, and responsible journalism. This Editorial Policy outlines the standards and processes that guide every piece of content we publish.

1. Independence

GreeNews operates independently. Our editorial decisions are never influenced by advertisers, sponsors, or political entities. All content is created solely based on its news value and public interest.

2. Accuracy & Verification

  • All claims and statistics must be verified through at least one credible primary source before publication.
  • Breaking news stories are labeled as "Developing" until all facts are confirmed.
  • We do not publish rumors, unverified social media posts, or speculative content as factual news.

3. Sources

  • We credit all sources, including wire services, official statements, and expert opinions.
  • Anonymous sources are used only when absolutely necessary and when the information can not be obtained otherwise.
  • Sponsored content is clearly labeled as "Sponsored" and kept separate from editorial content.

4. Corrections Policy

GreeNews takes errors seriously. If a factual error is found in a published article:

  • It will be corrected promptly.
  • A correction note will be added to the bottom of the article indicating what was changed and when.
  • In cases of significant errors, the article may be retracted and replaced with a correction notice.

5. Opinion & Analysis

Opinion pieces and analysis are clearly labeled as such. They represent the views of the individual author and not of GreeNews as a publication.

6. Conflict of Interest

GreeNews editors and reporters are required to disclose any personal, financial, or political interests that could affect their coverage of a story.
