Aalim Hakim's Call for Respect in the Entertainment Industry

On May 15th, Aalim took to social media. He put out this note. Sharply worded. It hit hard. He posted a picture. The caption was direct.
“We’ve decided not to work with those actors whose managers treat people badly.”
It wasn’t subtle. It was a straight line. He wasn't just talking about hair. He was talking about the whole ecosystem. He urged everyone to respect the people behind the scenes. The hairstylists, the makeup artists, the stylists, the assistants, the whole crew. The people who work non-stop to make stars look good.
He talked about the sacrifices. The long hours. Missing birthdays. Sleep. Peace. All they give up. Just to make sure the actor looks and feels their absolute best. And he hammered home that these creative people shouldn’t just be dismissed as “just staff.”

He wrote that respect shouldn’t be tied up in titles. That it shouldn't depend on designation. It’s heartbreaking, he said, to watch managers act rough. Humiliating people. Throwing frustration around. Especially when it’s about mistakes that aren't even theirs.
Authority doesn't give anyone a license to disrespect another human being. That’s the core of it.
Then he hit the point about the actors themselves. He suggested that sometimes, the stars don’t even see the damage being done. How their image, their reputation, their energy gets messed up outside the vanity van because of the people handling them. A powerful star shouldn’t need people around them insulting others just to prove they matter.
He made it clear. This is about dignity. Hard work deserves kindness. And every single artist deserves respect. He ended with something heavy. Respect isn’t some favor you grant. It’s basic humanity. And today? Humanity feels like a luxury.
The reaction was immediate. Soon after the post went up, the celebrities started commenting. It wasn't just silence.
