Amaal Mallik's Allegations Against the Film Industry Syndicate

Amaal Mallik, the music composer, recently dropped some heavy statements on his social media, leveling serious allegations against a supposed "mixed syndicate of egoistic humans" lobbying against him in the industry.

He used his X account, formerly Twitter, to share a long note, laying out his frustration about the tough working conditions and the hostility he’s faced from certain professionals.

It wasn't just about the work itself. He spoke about the timeline, the #AMAALIANS period from 2019 to 2026. He said those big boys in powerful positions managed to steer him away from more than sixty projects. Two films, he admitted, he turned them down himself because it felt beneath him to work in those kinds of setups.

But he still did his part. He insisted he kept putting music and shooting videos out for his fans, no matter the movies. No regrets there. It’s their loss.

Yet, somehow, it turns into a loss for the listeners and fans. And he apologized for that, but he needed to make sure everyone heard this.

He mentioned he spent the last eight years trying his best. With sincerity. With what he thought were respectful terms and conditions. Sadly, that just didn’t work in this place.

He felt that his inability to hide what was really going on in the industry—the workings—only made things worse. That led to pointless threats aimed at him and his family.

He called out some very powerful groups of people. They don't want him in their films, or any film, frankly. It’s not just labels anymore. It’s a whole mixed syndicate of egoistic humans .

He won't name them today. But he felt their time is coming. And the lord above will show them where they belong. All of them have been playing some kind of award-worthy politics for nearly eight years now. And that’s why you hear less of his music in films.

He pushed back hard on the idea of being trapped. “I can’t be part of a clout. Not a power setup. Not some petty groupism. Even the nepotism isn't working,” he wrote.

He ended with a plea. “So forgive me. Listen to my indie music. If a film song doesn't come great, don't fret.”

It was a direct demand for attention elsewhere.

Meanwhile, the news cycle keeps spinning. You see updates on the Kerala Chief Minister taking his oath in Thiruvananthapuram in 2026. There are ongoing reports about PM Modi’s recent five-nation tour and the situation in the West Asia crisis. And the India versus Afghanistan test squad announcement is also circulating.
