CBSE Re-evaluation Process and Portal Status

The Central Board of Secondary Education , or CBSE , finally weighed in on the noise students were making about the re-evaluation process and getting access to their answer sheets. It seems the online portal, which has been causing quite a headache, is finally starting to work, at least for getting those scanned copies of Class 12 books.

They said the online application portal is now running smoothly. A lot of students have already managed to submit their requests successfully, which is something, I guess, is a relief.

But the numbers behind that smooth operation are huge. The Board reported that more than 1.27 lakh students actually managed to register their requests. They were aiming for over 3.87 lakh scanned answer sheets. And they got that done by 7:30 pm on May 20th. That’s nearly three hundred thousand applications submitted within just three hours of the portal opening. That’s a lot of activity, you know?

They shared the link again, just in case: pvr.cbseit.in/pvr/.

Of course, there’s still that lingering anxiety. CBSE told everyone to just hang tight if things get slow. They acknowledged that heavy traffic on the portal is happening right now. Some users might still run into snags, especially when trying to check payment statuses. They really pushed students not to just keep hitting the submit button repeatedly. It’s frustrating when you’re trying to get something important, and you’re dealing with glitches every step of the way.

This clarification came after things got messy. Remember how CBSE had earlier announced they would fix the technical issues by 2 pm on May 20th? Well, that wasn't quite enough. Later on, students were reporting things like login failures. CAPTCHA errors popping up everywhere. Server glitches. And payment problems. It felt like the fixes weren't immediate, or maybe they weren't smooth at all.

And on a separate note, there was this other thing floating around. Earlier, the Board had also stepped in on some claims about how the scanning process itself was handled. They issued a fact-check, basically dismissing allegations that the scanning of answer books under the On-Screen Marking system got messed up because people didn't prepare enough or didn't have time.

CBSE was pretty clear. They called those claims "factually incorrect." They stressed that the entire OSM process followed the rules, the established procedures, and there was constant supervision over everything. They emphasized that fairness and transparency in the whole examination and evaluation process are what they remain committed to. It’s a big deal, really, to have that kind of assurance.

It’s this whole situation, the technical hiccups mixed with the need for these documents, that really shows how fragile these digital systems can be when so many people are relying on them. You see these reports, and you just feel that underlying sense of uncertainty. It’s not just about the scanned papers; it’s about the whole system feeling solid. Or maybe it isn't.
