CBSE Scanned Copy Application and Re-evaluation Process

The Central Board of Secondary Education, or CBSE , is finally opening the door for students to request scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets. They start accepting those online applications today, May 19, 2026.

It’s all happening through their official site, cbse.gov.in.

The window for this is tight. It runs just until May 22, 2026.

And there’s a fee involved. They’ve slashed the processing fee down to just Rs 100 per answer book. That’s a big cut from the previous Rs 700.

But wait. There’s more moving parts. The actual verification and re-evaluation phase, that part, is scheduled for May 26 to the 29.

And the fee for that re-evaluation? They’ve also adjusted that. It’s now Rs 25 per question. A change from the old Rs 100.

But things aren’t running smoothly yet. You see, the link itself? It hasn't even been activated.

Someone posted something on X about this, really frustrated. They were saying, “Post result activities link not working for 12 class re-evaluation. What is wrong. CBSE KINDLY NOTE AND RECTIFY THE SAME. VERY DISAPPOINTED.”

It feels like a mess.

CBSE is insisting, though. They’ve made it clear that everything—the application, the payment—has to be done online. Anything submitted offline or after the deadline? Forget it. They won't entertain it.

And the payment method is strictly online. Credit card, debit card, net banking. Nothing else works. Postal orders, demand drafts, cash, cheques? No way. They’re sticking to the digital route.

If you want to actually get those scanned copies, you have to follow the steps, even if the link is currently glitching.

You need to head to the CBSE website. Then look for the “Pareeksha Sangam” link on the homepage. Click that. Then find the “Schools” section. A new page pops up. From there, click on the “Scanned Copy Application.”

You have to log in. Fill in all the required details. Then pay the application fee online. That’s the only way to get the confirmation page and the download link. Keep that confirmation page safe. You need it later.

This whole thing feels important now. CBSE acknowledged that there might have been evaluation errors when they checked almost 1.25 crore answer scripts. It’s not just some paperwork anymore.

Remember, the Class 12 results came out on May 13th. The pass rate was 85.20 percent. Lower than last year’s figure, 88.39 percent. A bit disappointing, maybe. The whole process is underway, but the hiccups are still there.
