The victim later told investigators something really difficult. She felt pressured. She felt like she had to keep going. Finley allegedly threatened self-harm if she tried to stop the contact. That part sticks with you.
Finley didn't try to dodge the music. She rejected a plea deal initially. But eventually, she pleaded guilty to sixteen charges. That included sexual activity with a student and other offenses involving a child under fifteen.
The sentence came down. A minimum of twenty-eight years. A maximum of forty years.
During the hearing, she apologized. Not a clean one. Just remorse for the damage she caused that girl. It was just... there.
