Kim Soo Hyun Dating Allegations, AI Evidence, and Digital Fallout
Kim Soo Hyun is back in the headlines again. Apparently, the police cleared him on some dating allegations involving the late actress Kim Sae Ron. But the whole thing is tangled up with something much messier.
Local media reports suggest that the evidence initially presented against the actor might have been altered. Some of the material, the stuff they used to build the case, reportedly involved AI generation. It’s a wild turn, isn't it?
Seoul Gangnam Police Station reportedly closed the file, saying the suspect knowingly spread false information about Kim Soo Hyun for financial reasons. That shifts the whole focus, doesn't it? From who was dating to how the story was manufactured.
The whole situation got even weirder because of the digital side. A Gree report pointed to a YouTube channel, HoverLab, also called Garo Sero Institute. They allegedly manipulated screenshots. And they circulated an audio file that they claimed was made using AI. That’s where the real controversy seems to live now.
Police are apparently still looking for the suspect. Authorities claimed the suspect knew Kim Soo Hyun hadn't dated Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor, but they still pushed around this allegedly false evidence just to damage the actor’s reputation.
Then there’s the fallout on others. Reports surfaced that Kim Se-ui actually received eleven screenshots from Kim Sae Ron’s family. Out of those, seven of them were supposedly altered by that same channel. It’s a chain reaction of digital mess.
And then there’s the audio. That recording, supposedly featuring Kim Sae Ron’s voice, surfaced back in May 2025. It made everyone immediately jump to conclusions about a relationship when she was underage.
Of course, Kim Se-ui, she just flatly denied everything. She denied all the wrongdoing.
But the focus is definitely swinging. It’s moved away from whether the relationship happened, and squarely onto the authenticity of the evidence. How much of what we saw was real?
Meanwhile, things got completely tangential. Amidst all this noise, late actress Sulli’s elder brother, Choi, dropped something cryptic on social media. A post that just hangs there, full of implication. Many people are guessing it was aimed at Kim Soo Hyun.
Choi wrote something kind of pointed: “The moment you crawl out again, it’s round two. The choice is yours.”
When someone asked him in the comments, “Who did this?” Choi’s reply was just... “There’s someone from the stars over there.”
That remark just blew things up again. It connects right back to Kim Soo Hyun, given his history with My Love From The Star . It just fuels the speculation, doesn't it? It’s all just moving around, no clear path.
Remember how this started? It kicked off in March 2025, right after Sae Ron passed away. The YouTube channel, HoverLab, was the one that first alleged a six-year relationship that started when Sae Ron was still a minor. They released photos, screenshots, and that audio recording. That immediately created this huge wave of debate, scrutiny, all aimed at Kim Soo Hyun.
He and his agency, Gold Medalist, pushed back hard. They insisted the actor only dated Kim Sae Ron when she was legally an adult. They accused the channel of using manipulated stuff, AI junk.
The actor, and his team, then went and filed legal complaints against whoever was spreading these claims. It’s become this sprawling mess of legal claims, digital fakery, and lingering, strange social media comments. It just keeps shifting.
