NIA Investigation Links Lucknow Plot to Delhi Red Fort Blast

India’s anti-terror agency found something. A chilling plot. It wasn't just some random activity. It was aimed right at key government buildings in Lucknow. And this whole thing? It seems tied back to that same terror module we saw in the Delhi Red Fort blast.

The National Investigation Agency’s chargesheet lays it out. Two doctors, Muzammil Shakeel and Shaheen Saeed . They allegedly used what looked like a simple family trip. Faridabad to Lucknow. August 2025. But that trip wasn't just a vacation. It was cover. A reconnaissance mission, allegedly tied to something much bigger.

They were in Lucknow between August 25th and August 30th. Shaheen Saeed was traveling in a Maruti Swift. The NIA claims this wasn't personal. It was planning. Identifying targets. Looking at logistics. Getting ready for attacks in Uttar Pradesh’s capital.

Where did they stay? Not some fancy hotel. They reportedly stayed at a relative’s place. Then Shaheen’s ancestral home. Khandari Bazar. In Lucknow’s Lal Bagh area. The agency thinks that place became some sort of operational base while they were there.

Then there’s the stuff they were looking for. The chargesheet details something darker. Dr. Muzammil apparently searched online. Chemical shops in Lucknow. Shops stocking ingredients for TATP. The "Mother of Satan," they call it.

Shaheen Saeed allegedly wrote down the names of these suppliers by hand. Muzammil directed it. Then some local contact was allegedly brought in. To physically check if they could get those chemicals. Large quantities.

It gets more specific about the targets. They weren't just looking at homes. They were mapping out government spots. Around Vidhan Sabha Road. Think the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha itself. Lok Bhawan, where the Chief Minister’s Secretariat is. And Bapu Bhawan, the state Civil Secretariat. Muzammil allegedly did on-foot surveys. Studying routes. Security. How things moved around those places.

And it wasn't just official buildings. They checked out crowded spots too. Imambada. Lal Bagh. Aminabad. Places investigators think might have been assessed as potential targets.

The location data came back. Technical analysis of Shaheen Saeed’s phone location. It put her near that Vidhan Sabha–Lok Bhawan–Bapu Bhawan complex on August 28th. That piece just strengthens what the agency is trying to build.

The whole setup? The module linked to AGuH. They were trying to set up an explosives manufacturing base in Lucknow. And then plan multiple blasts. Methods similar to the Red Fort incident. The investigation suggests these plans were finally shut down when the terror module was busted in October 2025. A mess. A real failure.
