Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor's Dedication for the Film *Peddi*

Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor have been busy pushing their upcoming film, Peddi .

They were at a press meet in Bangalore yesterday for the film. Janhvi Kapoor seemed really happy working with Ram Charan.

She made a joke about weight loss. Something about working on a song sequence with him being the fastest way to shed kilos. She joked that the intense dance routine just left you exhausted.

“I’ll tell you the best weight loss tip,” she said. “Try doing a song with Ram Charan sir. You’ll become skinny in half a day.”

She added that even the dancers who shot a song sequence with Ram Charan for just a few days seemed to lose weight.

“All of the dancers did,” Janhvi said. “We shoot for three or four days. By the fourth day, they all looked smaller.”

Meanwhile, when they talked about sports, Janhvi kept it pretty limited. She mentioned picking up just some cricket basics while preparing for her film, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi , with Rajkummar Rao.

She said that was about it. Her involvement in sports was mostly just sitting on the sidelines and cheering for Peddi . “I learnt a little bit of cricket for Mr and Mrs Mahi . That’s the extent of sports. I sit on the sidelines and cheer for Peddi . That’s how sporting I am,” she remarked.

Earlier, at the trailer launch for Peddi , Ram Charan spoke up. He really praised Janhvi Kapoor’s dedication and how hard she worked on set.

He said he had never seen anyone work with such diligence. The way she was working.

“The last day we shot a song. I didn’t have time because we were shooting for eighty-five days straight, and then the song happened. I was learning, and I was doing it. And I didn’t know if she had practiced it too.”

He paused there.

“She did it a hundred times better than me in the last song we shot. She is like a ‘chhupa rustam’. She was quietly learning it in Mumbai. I like that dedication. She is very sincere to her work. And Peddi needed a lot of sincerity from all of us,” he said.

Peddi itself is a sports action drama. It’s set in the 1980s Andhra Pradesh. The story follows a villager who uses sports to rally his community against a powerful rival. Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Shivarajkumar are in key roles.

The film is set for a theatrical release on June 4th.
