Tiffany Trump's Trip to Jaisalmer and Sonar Fort
Tiffany Trump, daughter of Donald Trump, made a trip to Rajasthan. Specifically, she visited Jaisalmer , the desert city, and the historic Sonar Fort on Sunday. Officials confirmed the visit.
She wasn't alone, though. Her husband Michael Boulos was with her, and the US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, joined them. A trio traveling together.
They spent time touring the UNESCO-listed Jaisalmer Fort . Looking at the heritage structures. Exploring the key spots. It was a tour of history, I suppose.
Ambassador Gor, the US Envoy, later shared some pictures on X. He called the whole experience an “incredible day in Jaisalmer.” He also praised Rajasthan, calling it “truly remarkable.” A nice note, that.
The logistics of getting there were tight, naturally. They arrived earlier in the day at Jaisalmer Civil Airport from Delhi. They used a special aircraft. Security arrangements were tight, obviously.
The airport reception was official. District Collector Anupama Jorwal and Superintendent of Police Abhishek Shivhare were there to Greet them. Other folks from the administration and security agencies were also involved. A lot of layers there.
Then came the evening. They reached the Sonar Fort . It’s an iconic place. They toured the premises in a golf cart. Moving around the fort.
They were shown the fort museum. Then they got a briefing. About the region’s art, the culture, the whole historical legacy. A lot packed into the evening.
Local heritage expert Vijay Ballani gave some insight. He talked about the fort’s architecture. Its cultural importance. Officials said he provided an overview.
Security was a constant thing. Strict arrangements were maintained throughout the visit. Media access? Restricted inside the fort. Security protocols dictated that. You can’t just wander around there.
Where did they stay? They were at a luxury hotel on Sam Road. Security there was multi-layered. It wasn't just simple guards. Personnel from local police, central agencies, and even the US Secret Service were part of the security cover. It felt heavy.
They weren't done yet. They had other plans. They were scheduled to visit other spots while they were there. Patwon Ki Haveli was one. And Gadisar Lake too.
After spending the night in Jaisalmer, the trip wasn't over. Officials added that they were expected to head back to New Delhi on Monday. Just wrapping things up.
It was a packed itinerary, you know? A lot happening in one short window. The movement felt constrained by necessity. Everything had to be managed.
