Uttar Pradesh Police Bust Child Trafficking Gang and Kidnapping Case

Uttar Pradesh Police finally got a 17-year-old boy back on Monday. He’d been missing for days. It all came from busting what they said was a child trafficking gang operating around Hapur district.

Four people were arrested in that case. Simple arrests, but it sounds like a lot of movement behind the scenes.

DSP Varun Mishra talked to ANI about it. He said the breakthrough happened while they were tracking down a missing kid.

He detailed the situation. A 14 or 15-year-old boy had disappeared a few days before. People were looking for him. The investigation then uncovered this whole network. A trafficking gang was active. They were the ones pulling off the whole thing. Four accused were caught. And this 17-year-old was found with them.

Mishra added that these people, these four suspects, they were moving around. They were residents from different districts. They seem to be looking for kids, all kinds of kids.

Police are still digging into it. Further investigation is obviously still happening.

Kidnapping Incident in Bareilly District

Something else was going on earlier this week, separate from Hapur. In Bareilly district, the story was about a kidnapping. Two men were accused of taking a one-and-a-half-year-old child.

That operation in Hulasi Phatak area got messy. There was an encounter with the police. The two men got injured.

The good news was the baby was found safe. He was reunited with his family.

Yogesh and Pawan were the ones arrested following that incident.

SP South Anshika Verma commented on the kidnapping case. She mentioned the police were alerted about the child vanishing from Manauna village. They registered a case right away.

Then, five teams got formed. Five teams chasing the trail.

She explained the timeline a bit. Information came in on May 24, 2026. A one-and-a-half-year-old child was gone from Manauna. That’s under the Aonla Police Station jurisdiction. So, they started tracking. Five teams were set up. They used CCTV, surveillance, all that technical stuff. Trying to follow them.

Police managed to track the suspects using that footage and surveillance. But things escalated quickly.

According to SP Verma, officers got intel that the accused were trying to move the child somewhere. Trying to sell him. So they moved to intercept.

During that chase, things went bad. The accused allegedly opened fire trying to get away. Retaliation. The police responded. Both men got gunshot wounds to their legs.

SP Verma also mentioned what was recovered afterward. Two country-made pistols and live cartridges. Found on the accused. Just evidence of the fight.

It’s a lot happening, isn't it? Missing kids, trafficking gangs, kidnapping—all running parallel. The police work just keeps moving.
