Viral Snack Order Exposed: Banking Secrets and Hygiene Nightmare

A man’s roadside snack order went viral. It all started when he noticed the paper cone holding his bhel puri was made from someone’s two-page printed bank statement.

That’s how it blew up.

Someone shared it online, Sudhanshu Ambhore. He wrote something like, “Bought a ₹20 Bhel from a street vendor and it was wrapped in someone’s 2-page bank statement. Name, account number, transactions… everything just out there like it’s normal. Privacy is seriously a joke in India 😭”

The document itself allegedly showed sensitive customer info. Account holder names, numbers, transaction history. It was all exposed.

The discovery immediately caught attention. People were worried about how confidential banking stuff ended up as disposable packaging. Hygiene concerns started bubbling up too.

Meanwhile, people were joking. One user reacted with pure absurdity. “😅I’ve heard this happen with medical reports too. Maybe we need to start recruiting bhel puri bhaiyas as RAW agents.”

Another shared a similar mess. “I was googling for some thing, and i got hold of Union bank employee salaries detail of last few year of an entire Zone.”

Not everyone cared about the privacy angle. Some just focused on the snack itself. “FYI : This is not bhel at all. Its just some chirmure + biscuit. That vendor cheated you.”

Then the real technical stuff started coming out. People speculated about where that statement even came from. One comment suggested, “Having some decent knowledge, I can confirm that this statement is NOT generated at branch. This statement is generated and downloaded as PDF by account holder by mobile application/internet banking. The statement given by branches look completely different.”

Another voice echoed that idea. “The account statement can’t be shed out like … Could have been done by the customer as rough only… Banks will not print any customer account statements unnecessarily that’s unnecessarily expenses only to banks.”

But the fraud risk was looming. People started asking about scams. “What is the possibility of getting scammed if someone has that kind of information about a person? Genuine question for awareness,” one user posted.

Then you got both sides hitting at once. Privacy and hygiene. One user detailed the whole nightmare. “Privacy is a joke and so is hygiene- imagine where all those sheets of paper would’ve been before they became a container for your snack ? Maybe bought by a raddi wala – who might’ve kept them in dust corner where mice might have crawled over and even pee’d over them. Throw it.”

It just felt messy. A real mess of banking secrets and street food filth.
