AIADMK List Dropped for Tamil Nadu State Assembly Polls

AIADMK just dropped the list. Twenty-three names for the State Assembly polls.

Vote counting then, May 4th.

The party, they are leading the NDA in Tamil Nadu. They kept some old guard leaders, naturally. KP Munusamy, Dindigul C Sreenivasan, Natham R Viswanathan.

Then you see SP Velumani from Thondamuthur. P Thangamani from Kumarapalayam. They’re in there too.

It’s a long list, a real mess of names.

  • Edappadi K Palaniswami—Edappadi.
  • C. Vijayabaskar—Viralimalai.
  • M.R. Vijayabaskar—Karur.
  • S.P. Velumani—Thondamuthur.
  • D. Jayakumar—Royapuram.
  • Natham R. Viswanathan—Natham.
  • P. Thangamani—Kumarapalayam.
  • C.Ve. Shanmugam—Mailam.
  • Sellur K. Raju—Madurai West.
  • K.P. Anbazhagan—Palacode.
  • R. Kamaraj—Nannilam.
  • O.S. Manian—Vedaranyam.
  • C. Vijayabaskar again—Viralimalai.
  • Kadambur C. Raju—Kovilpatti.
  • R.B. Udhayakumar—Tirumangalam.
  • K.T. Rajenthra Bhalaji—Sivakasi.
  • P. Benjamin—Maduravoyal.
  • Agri S.S. Krishnamurthy—Kalasapakkam.
  • V.V. Rajan Chellappa—Tirupparankundram.
  • K.C. Karuppannan—Bhavani.
  • K.C. Veeramani—Jolarpet.
  • M.R. Vijayabaskar—Karur.
  • S. Rajendran—Ariyalur.

That’s the roster.

And it’s not just the AIADMK fighting. Tamil Nadu is set for a real three-way contest. The DMK alliance. The AIADMK-BJP side. And then there’s Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, TVK.

The DMK alone managed to grab 133 constituencies. That was the absolute majority for the first time in twenty-five years.

The NDA got 75 seats overall. And that’s mostly from the AIADMK side, 66 seats. Things are definitely shifting.
