Long before anything else, he had talked about being in love with her. Shared where they saw things going.
There was that interview with the Times of India in 2024. He talked marriage plans with Shivangi then. After all the waiting around, they finally confirmed it. He mentioned his parents finally stopped looking for a daughter-in-law on her. He said something like, “I’m not getting married right now, but I am definitely in love. We are taking it very slow.”
His mother, though. She wanted him to settle down fast. When asked about pushing things forward with Shivangi? Kushal just shrugged it off. He admitted his mom desperately wants him married immediately. And honestly, he said anything could happen. Anything can happen anytime. But the search for a suitable girl by his parents? That stopped.
Then there was Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka . They were on screen together. It felt like they grew close then. Fell in love while making that show. But things ended in 2025. Kushal made that split public. He announced it himself.
Now, Shreya brought this up recently. In the Lock Upp 2 episode. She was talking about shooting promotional stuff for one of Shivangi’s shows. She claimed after that shoot, her co-star reached out to her with a message. Not naming names, just hinting at Kushal Tandon.
She said he messaged her. She was dating back then. There was something there between him and Shivangi. She got a hunch and backed off. Then they met on the set. And Shivangi just sort of laughed it off. Like, “Oh hi! Yes! He told me about you that you followed and messaged him.”
Shreya’s response to that? She was guarded. She said she wouldn't be the first one chasing anyone. Never done anything like that in her life. She gave her phone to Shivangi. And Shivangi just read everything. She didn't flirt back. Nothing.
