Alleged Theft Claims and Investigation at Ayodhya Ram Mandir Donations

Ram Mandir donation row. it’s all getting messier around the alleged theft claims at Ayodhya.

Vishva Hindu Parishad International President Alok Kumar sent a letter to the Ayodhya Police. he was pushing hard, asking the investigating officer the one actually looking into this whole embezzlement business to look at what several opposition leaders were saying about the supposed theft.

The letter dated July 4 went to Ashutosh Tiwari, the Deputy Superintendent of Police there. Kumar wanted these leaders brought in. He specifically asked for statements from Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh, and Ram Gopal Yadav. Why them? Because they had made public claims about missing temple donations. Claims involving figures that looked astronomical over twenty thousand crore lost.

Kumar essentially told the police: show us the facts behind these allegations. Where did they get this information? What documents back up what they are saying? He stressed that if these people knew something, they needed to open it up for the probe.

He pointed out some of the claims made publicly. Priyanka Gandhi brought up questions about CCTV cameras. Could just junior staff have switched things off? Or were bigger players pulling strings?

Kejriwal’s side mentioned specific items gone missing: cash, Lord Ram’s garlands, charan padukas, diamonds, silver bricks, lamps. And then he questioned the silence from the Uttar Pradesh Police, the ED, and the CBI. A lot of frustration there.

Kumar kept pushing for transparency. He said if these leaders could provide credible material supporting their stories, it would help the investigation find the truth faster. But he also made a point. If the allegations turn out to be completely baseless if they’re just wild noise without any proof that too needs to be part of the inquiry.

There was a warning woven in there, too. Don't make random accusations that just stir up hatred and enmity. Nobody should get away with making such claims without foundation. The agency had to consider this angle.

Meanwhile, the Special Investigation Team is still working on it. They’ve managed to get a fifteen-day extension from the Uttar Pradesh government to widen their search. So far, eight people connected to the temple's donation collection and counting have been arrested. But the real hunt for those missing contributions is ongoing. Investigators have seized some cash from the accused too. We’re talking amounts like twenty point three nine lakh from Avinash Shukla. And other seizures eight lakh from Karunesh Pandey, sixteen lakh from Anukalp Mishra, fourteen lakh from Lavkush Mishra, and so on. Plus gold, silver, and that USD 1,121 they managed to grab during the investigation. It’s a lot of moving parts.
