Cocktail 2 Box Office Performance and Analysis

Cocktail 2 . Yeah, it’s still running. Even with that big new buzz, the movie keeps moving, you know? Steady pace. It managed to hold onto things in its second weekend, romantic drama stuff. Slowly heading toward that hundred crore mark in India.
Homi Adajania directed this one. Mixed reviews when it first hit, sure. But people still came. They kept turning up. And look, it actually blew past the lifetime collection of the 2012 original Cocktail . Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Diana Penty were there back then. Now it’s Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Rashmika Mandanna leading the charge.
Trade tracker Sacnilk said something about the second Sunday numbers. They made about ₹4.40 crore net just that day. Total India net collection? ₹83.15 crore so far. Gross figure is hitting ₹98.76 crore overall. Just a number, but it’s there.
Competition was brutal though. Akshay Kumar’s Welcome To The Jungle dropped in cinemas this weekend. That comedy entertainer just pulled in ₹61.49 crore net over the first three days alone. A serious hit.
That meant Cocktail 2 lost a bunch of screens. It’s playing now in three thousand seven hundred ninety-one shows nationwide. Way down from those opening week numbers, which were like ten thousand eight hundred thirty-five. Still, it keeps bringing money in. Steady.
It’s become one of Shahid Kapoor’s better films lately, honestly. More than Deva , more than O’Romeo . It's expected to eclipse the old record set by him and Kriti Sanon with Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya that was ₹83.75 crore back then. That feels like a big jump.
The first week brought in seventy crore fifty lakh net. Opening Friday felt okay, maybe thirteen point five crore. Then Saturday jumped to sixteen point two five. Sunday hit seventeen point seven five.
As expected, the weekdays killed the momentum. Monday was just six point seven five crore. Then it settled into that four crore range for the rest of the week. Second weekend followed a similar pattern four crore on Friday, four point two five Saturday, and four point four on Sunday. Just steady collections, nothing explosive.
The crew behind this thing? Homi Adajania directed. Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain wrote it. Dinesh Vijan produced it, along with Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under Maddock Films and Luv Films. It’s the spiritual follow-up to that 2012 movie. The cast shift is massive Shahid, Kriti, Rashmika now. That's the core of it.
