Passenger Safety and Reckless Driving on Expressways

Man, you see this stuff that keeps going around online? Road accidents are killing people every year, right? And then there’s this video circulating now, something really messed up about passenger safety .
It showed a private bus driver and conductor, just completely lost, staring at their phones instead of actually looking where they were driving on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway.
The clip itself is wild. Apparently, the driver was operating the bus with both elbows locked onto the steering wheel while scrolling something. And the conductor? He was lying down there too, totally absorbed in his phone. They were moving at almost 100 km/h. That’s just careless.
People are freaking out about it, naturally. Someone posted this on X. They said this isn't some one-off mistake. It seems like this is just how they operate on these expressways now just ignoring everything else. It feels like a pattern.
One person reacted instantly with pure disgust. They just typed, “This Is Absolutely Insane.” And you can feel that anger immediately.
Then the comments started flying. People were demanding things. Like, why aren't they doing anything? One comment was pretty direct: these people’s licenses should be pulled right away before anyone else gets hurt. That kind of immediate demand for punishment hits hard when you think about it.
Another one commented on the skill level. It wasn't some lack of skill; it felt like pure, dumb luck that nothing bad happened this time. But luck doesn’t pay the bills or keep people alive, does it? That line sticks with you.
And then there were the broader comparisons. Someone else brought up government buses too. They mentioned drivers in those dangerous hill roads in Uttarakhand routinely talking on phones while driving sometimes without even holding the wheel properly. And they implied that cops don’t care about it. Contrast that with somewhere else, like England? Cops there actually fine people for this stuff. A real difference in how seriously things are taken.
There was a point made about responsibility. Why aren't the passengers demanding something? I mean, you’re paying to travel. You should be asking the driver and conductor to pay attention, to protect everyone inside the bus. Every citizen is supposed to work for safety. Wake up!
It was surprising how few people actually objected in the comments section. No one tried to stop it. Just watching videos while everything goes sideways. It makes you wonder what kind of mindset is running things right now. It’s just this strange sense that nobody seems to care about the immediate danger, only the content on their screen. Very serious stuff, honestly. Action needs to be taken against whoever is responsible for letting this happen.
