Kangana Ranaut Movie Box Office, Tax-Free Deal, and Behind the Scenes

Kangana Ranaut’s new movie is still playing, hanging around in theaters even with all the other releases going on. It got some attention for the story itself and that tax-free deal it snagged in two states, but honestly? The box office isn't really kicking into high gear yet.

Manoj Tapadia directed this thing, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata . Sacnilk said it pulled in about ₹1.58 crore net just on Sunday. That puts the total India net collection at ₹4.03 crore after three days running. Gross numbers? Still figuring that part out right now.

The Day 3 figures don't scream much growth though. It barely improved over the weekend advantage. It opened with one crore net Friday, alright, but then Saturday brought a decent jump nearly forty-five percent up to ₹1.45 crore net. But that momentum just didn’t stick on Sunday.

And the crowds? They dipped. The number of shows dropped noticeably. From almost two thousand in the theatre count on Saturday down to maybe seven hundred and ninety-four on Sunday. Occupancy levels slipped too, sitting around fourteen percent, compared to about seventeen the day before. It just wasn't buzzing much.

The makers tried something, though. They threw out a nationwide Buy One Get One ticket deal over the weekend. Felt like they needed some push. But collections stayed pretty flat. The offer didn't seem to move anyone much. Limited impact, you know?

Of course, it was fighting for space. It had to compete with a bunch of other stuff out there. Main Vaapas Aaunga with Diljit Dosanjh, Governor starring Manoj Bajpayee, and then there was that Vikram Bhatt movie, Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past .

But there's another side to this story, away from the ticket sales noise. The state government support is something else entirely. During its opening weekend, it got declared tax-free in both Delhi and Haryana. That felt like a real move. Haryana’s Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced it after seeing Kangana Ranaut at a screening in Chandigarh. Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had already extended that benefit earlier.

The film itself is about the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, but they frame it differently. Not focusing on the big spots you see everywhere else. Instead, it digs into something much more human the sheer bravery of healthcare workers at Cama Hospital during the chaos. It’s inspired by nurse Anjali Kulthe and her crew. They were the ones risking everything to protect pregnant women, newborns, and those critically ill patients when things went sideways.

Kangana Ranaut wasn't just the star; she co-produced it under Manikarnika Films too. Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Esha Dey they all played important roles in putting this together.
