Kangana Ranaut's Film Receives Entertainment Tax Exemption in Haryana and Delhi

Kangana Ranaut’s new film, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata , is suddenly doing really well at the box office. And it’s not just the movie that got attention. Haryana actually waived entertainment tax on it within days of release.
That announcement came after a special screening. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was there, along with some other senior leaders in Chandigarh. It felt like more than just a simple screening then.
Saini talked about what the film was trying to say. He seemed really focused on the message that motivational stuff should reach everyone. He basically said these kinds of films inspire us and make us feel our duties. That’s why they decided to make it tax-free in Haryana.
He also brought up something heavier, linking it to the 2008 Mumbai attacks. He made a point about how much that tragedy affected the whole country. Still, he stressed that things matter now. Protecting security and sovereignty is key. Stories about courage and public service? Those are important too.
Ranaut, who co-produced this thing too, was clearly happy about the support. She thanked the Haryana government for letting it happen. She felt the tax exemption would finally let the film get seen by more people across the state. She said something like the CM did a good job empowering women, and now they were giving them an opportunity to reach every citizen of Haryana with this movie.
The Chandigarh part was another angle. It wasn't just about the film itself. They used it for some kind of nationwide outreach. Honoring those unseen heroes the doctors and community workers who do real work away from the spotlight. Some local professionals got recognized there too.
Later, Ranaut posted something on Instagram. A thank you to the Chief Minister. It felt very personal. She mentioned how much she appreciated him making the movie tax-free so it could reach all of Haryana’s unseen heroes.
Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata itself is directed by Manoj Tapadia. It came out in cinemas on June 12th. The story deals with things happening around those terrible 26/11 Mumbai attacks, but the focus shifts away from what happened at the Taj Hotel. That was a deliberate move.
Instead, the film dives into Mumbai. Specifically inside Cama and Albless Hospital. It shows how staff and nurses stepped up during that chaos. They were protecting patients pregnant women, newborns putting themselves in huge danger just trying to keep things stable.
There’s a whole cast involved too. Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Amrutha Namdev, Esha Dey... a bunch of names mentioned. Plus Aditya Mishra and Zahid Khan among the crew.
And you know what? The Haryana thing happened almost immediately after. Delhi also gave tax-free status to the movie during its opening week. So, two states backing it up right away. It just keeps moving fast.
