Murder Investigation Involving Karnataka and Nepal

A murder happened in Nepal involving someone from Karnataka. A 25-year-old guy, Sahil Riyaz Ahmed Momin, he was from Belagavi district. He was allegedly killed by his roommate there. This started a whole police thing, searching for the person responsible.
Sahil had been living in Khanapur, Belagavi. That’s where he called home.
Things got complicated about where he was staying. Police and family said Sahil had done some work before. He worked in Dubai. Thailand too. Then he ended up at a private hotel in Damak, Nepal’s Jhapa district. This happened maybe twenty-five days ago.
He was sharing a room with a guy named Saddam Hussain. That’s the other person involved.
The story gets darker when you look at what happened there. Sahil had invited a friend from Belagavi to join him for work. The friend stayed in that same room the night before everything went wrong.
There was an argument. It allegedly broke out between Sahil and Saddam that night. Someone stepped in. The friend intervened. He tried to stop things from getting worse. A brief pause, maybe? But it didn't matter much.
Then early the next morning... something else happened. Saddam allegedly attacked Sahil with a knife while he was sleeping. Hearing Sahil cry out for help. The friend tried to stop the attack too. But Saddam just ran off. He fled the scene.
Sahil was rushed to a hospital nearby. Seriously injured. Doctors tried everything they could do. Still, he died during treatment. It was over.
Now the fallout is happening. Sahil’s family back in Khanapur are talking to the Belagavi police. They're coordinating with Nepal Police. Trying to sort out the legal stuff. And getting his body back to India. That’s the big goal right now.
Nepal Police registered a case, of course. They started searching for Saddam Hussain. The accused is missing. Further investigation is still going on. Things are moving slowly.
