US Strikes and Tensions in the Strait of Hormuz

The US launched fresh strikes on Iran Wednesday. It happened right after ships were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz . These operations look like the most intense since that ceasefire started, you know?

Videos are coming out from Bandar Abbas. They show a US strike hitting Shahid Haqqani Port. That port is where Iran keeps its main naval base. Smoke thick orange clouds were rising from the targeted spots in those videos.

Tensions between Washington and Tehran just kept escalating again. It’s getting worse.

They hit the whole coastal corridor used by Iran to control that Strait of Hormuz. Bandar Abbas was one spot, sure. Sirik Port. Qeshm Island too. Reports say more than thirteen explosions happened across those three locations.

That footage from Bandar Abbas? It seems like the most US strikes since the ceasefire went into effect. It’s heavy.

The action itself followed attacks in the Strait of Hormuz. Apparently, this was retaliation for Iran hitting some commercial ships with missiles. Things already got worse when Tehran lost that oil-sales waiver.

There were unconfirmed reports floating around too. People cited Middle East Spectator said guys in the IRGC Navy got preliminary orders to block all traffic through the Strait of Hormuz until they hear more.

That strait, Hormuz? It’s one of the most important shipping routes globally. Any disruption there is huge. Everyone watches it because it affects global energy supplies so much.

Because of this renewed military push and all the noise around the Strait, oil prices jumped up. People are worried about shipping getting messed up in that waterway.

And meanwhile, President Trump is over in Turkey for the NATO Summit. So you have all this happening while world leaders try to gather for the alliance stuff. It just adds more pressure to everything going on out there.
