Yogi Adityanath's Review of Infrastructure and Development in Gonda

Yogi Adityanath was in Gonda on Friday. A two-hour session there. He looked over proposals submitted by representatives from all thirty-three Assembly constituencies. Just reviewing things, you know?

This trip followed his earlier visit to Gonda, only two weeks prior. Back then he pushed for better connections. Directed officials to fix up routes leading to Maa Pateshwari Shaktipeeth Dham and other important religious spots in the district. That was already a big focus.

He approved development for thirteen major routes. Connecting places like Maa Pateshwari Devi Shaktipeeth, the Swaminarayan Temple down in Devipatan Division, Makhoda Dham in Basti, and several other sites. It’s a lot of infrastructure moving around here.

And then there were the big numbers. He Greenlit proposals for over a thousand projects. Totaling nearly five thousand crore rupees. That kind of money floating around development.

CM Yogi also checked out some Public Works Department work at Maharaja Suheldev Sabhagar. Had talks with local representatives about plans moving forward. Assessed how roads and connectivity were actually progressing across Gonda, Balrampur, Bahraich, and Shravasti all in Devipatan Division.

Things in Basti also came up. Siddharth Nagar, Sant Kabir Nagar districts. Discussions focused on rural areas connecting to major roads. Fixing those really bad, dilapidated roads. Strengthening link roads. Building bridges. Flyovers. It’s all about making things move smoothly.

Devipatan Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal and the PWD staff gave him updates. Progress reports on the roads, the bridges, whatever infrastructure was being built.

The direction came down fast, though. Officials had to finish everything pending. Timelines were set. No more delays.

They presented updated status reports for various projects. During that review, he asked about the Pothole-Free Campaign. What’s the actual state of things there?

He signed off on 810 works under the Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana. That means nearly 1,472 crore rupees allocated. And what does that mean practically? It covers building 1,602 kilometres of roads in rural areas. Improved connectivity for everyone. Fifty more roads needed widening and repair too.

It’s a constant loop of infrastructure demands. He reviewed projects worth about fifty crore each for every Assembly seat. Talking directly with the representatives about what was happening on the ground. Priorities were clear: road repairs first. Improving travel, making sure movement is smooth whether you are in the city or out in the country. Infrastructure always comes up.

He looked at ongoing work too. Projects in backward regions and those aspirational blocks. A broader sweep of development.

Then there were specific approvals. Two State Highways got sign-off. Improved links to industrial zones. Construction started on eighty-one minor bridges, plus seven major ones. And for traffic headaches? Bypass roads. Overbridges. All that stuff needed fixing in the urban spots. Road safety was another order. He directed work across Devipatan Division focused on safety. Plus, he approved building twelve helipads in rural spots.

He reviewed specific project statuses. There were several things needing immediate attention there. Officials had to sort out those details and ensure completion. The pace felt tight. Everything needed to be done right now.</p
