Alia Bhatt and Sharvari on India’s Got Latent Season Two Behind the Scenes

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari showed up for the first episode of India’s Got Latent season two, hosted by Samay Raina. It dropped on Netflix and YouTube recently.

There was a behind-the-scenes video Samay shared on YouTube last night. It caught Alia and Sharvari chatting with Samay, Balraj Ghai, and Ashish Solanki. That clip is blowing up now.

It shows Alia praising Samay’s comedy special, ‘Still Alive’. She called it ‘pure art.’

The viral bit involves Alia telling Samay about his friendship with Balraj Ghai in the special. It gets pretty personal.

She said something like, “In the special, when you talked about your friendship and relationship with him, I could actually see it. It was so nicely explained and expressed.” She even admitted she was crying watching it. So she felt like she knew both of them really well because of the special. But honestly? It was just really good. Pure art.

Samay jumped in then. He talked about how he approaches stand-up comedy.

He said, “I used to always feel like stand-up comedy is telling jokes. But I realized that telling jokes is actually the skill you need to tell your story through them. You have to be able to express yourself using those tools.” A shift in perspective there.

Then Alia turned the question back around and asked Samay about the filming process for the special. How did he manage the emotional parts?

She asked, “So the special you did across multiple cities and then you take one version and put it out? So the one we saw was already performed a couple of times?”

Samay’s reply was something like: It got done two hundred times. That’s a lot of performances.

Alia followed up, asking about those emotional moments on stage. “But how do you feel it every single time? You have to feel it, right?”

Samay seemed to pause before answering that one. He explained he didn't write the most intense parts off-stage. Not really. He just did that part on stage and put himself back in that room. And that used to make him cry every single time he performed that set. He got emotional. He cried during the performance itself.

Balraj added something about his experience too. He said he hated listening to the set again and again. He would walk out, thinking, ‘I can’t handle it.’ The first couple of times they cried? It was just intensely raw.
