Apple's Pricing Strategy and Future iPhone Predictions

Apple is pushing prices again. It’s forcing people to grab the iPhone 17 now before things get even more expensive. That move messes with their supply plans for the older models too.

They hiked prices on MacBooks, Mac Minis, and iPads in India recently. It’s a teaser, really. What you can expect once they finally revise the iPhone 17 pricing here.

This caused a demand surge. Hard to match it. And don't forget the memory shortage. That means selling the current iPhone model at old prices? Not easy. At all.

Out of stock almost everywhere. Seriously. You can’t find the iPhone 17 anymore, online or in stores. The last time you saw it was during that Amazon sale. Poof. Gone.

Some channels list it though. But they just put up a ‘Notify me’ button. Telling you the reality on the ground.

The iPhone 17 , 256GB, is listed at Rs 82,900 in India. But look at those iPad and MacBook changes. People are expecting at least twenty thousand rupees more for these things now.

That could push the base iPhone 17 up past one lakh rupees easily. Buyers just want to jump the line. Get the upgrade right away. Don't wait around.

Hard to avoid this feeling, maybe?

Even if Apple manages to keep the iPhone 17 at its current price, the next wave is coming fast. The iPhone 18 series will definitely pinch your wallet deeper. Reports are saying the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max might hit starting over Rs 1.70 lakh for buyers this September.

And then there’s the rest of it. The iPhone 18 and 18e launch could slip into early 2027, going even higher based on what we see in the market trends now.

Apple is fighting the same battle as everyone else. And later this month? We’ll see how this hits brands like Samsung. They’re about to unveil the next Galaxy Z Fold 8 model and other stuff. Apple has its own foldable ambitions, that's clear. The roadmap points toward something ultra-premium in 2026. All signs point there.
