Missile Attacks and Escalation Across the Gulf

Missile attacks just kept coming across the Gulf on Sunday. Iran launched fresh drones and missiles, hitting US military spots in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan.

It wasn't just the Middle East reacting; Qatar and the UAE were watching incoming threats too. Everything was widening out there fast.

Tehran claimed they knocked out a Patriot system in Kuwait an ammo depot, a radar site. Another wave targeted comms and radar setups across Bahrain. And then there was Jordan. The IRGC said they fired ballistic missiles at bases near Prince Hassan Air Base.

The tension is spiking again.

Meanwhile, the UK stepped in. Their Maritime Trade Operations agency put out a notice. Threat level in the Strait of Hormuz? Severe . They told ships trying to pass through to stay extremely careful. Vigilance was advised immediately.

Down south, things were loud. In Qatar, their armed forces intercepted one missile strike aimed at them. Bahrain cranked up air raid sirens. People were told to get inside and shelter. The UAE was actively fighting back too. Their air defense systems were engaged against those incoming Iranian missiles and drones. You could hear the explosions happening as they intercepted things.

This retaliation followed a recent US move. Remember that strike on a container ship flying the Cyprus flag in the Strait of Hormuz? Iran took that as an opening. The US military side, Central Command, said they were positioned. Ready to guard that strait.

Then it was back east again. Explosions ripped through southern Iran. Bushehr, Bandar Abbas, Sirik, Chabahar, Jask all reporting damage. Tehran declared the strategic waterway closed. “Until further notice.” It’s a mess.

The crew on that damaged container ship? They abandoned the vessel after some of the chaos. One civilian was still missing, just gone.

This whole situation is just escalating, piece by painful piece. Keep watching.
