Yogi Adityanath Condemns Remarks, Discusses Azamgarh Development and Law and Order

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, spoke out Saturday. He strongly condemned some derogatory remarks made against Akhilesh Yadav’s daughter. He insisted that no insult aimed at any daughter should ever be tolerated.

He immediately told the police to register an FIR as soon as they noticed it. This happened while he was addressing a crowd in Azamgarh. The visit also involved inaugurating and laying foundation stones for 39 development projects. These things amounted to over nine hundred fifty-five crore rupees.

“A few days ago,” Yogi said, “some people made inappropriate comments about Akhilesh Yadav’s daughter. No insulting remark against any daughter should ever be accepted. Every daughter deserves respect.” The tone felt sharp there.

But the condemnation wasn't just aimed at the remarks themselves. He also turned a swipe toward the Samajwadi Party. He urged Akhilesh Yadav to tell his supporters to hold back their language. It was an attempt to frame the issue broader than just personal insults, something about values.

“The way people associated with him make comments about daughters, sisters, elders, deceased persons and senior leaders,” he continued, “it reflects a need to instill better values among them. If he can’t explain it to them, hand them over to us and we will explain it to them.” A heavy implication hung in the air.

The focus then shifted to Azamgarh itself. He talked about how much the district had struggled for recognition before 2017. It felt like a real struggle against neglect.

“Before 2017,” he remarked, “Azamgarh had no university. No Purvanchal Expressway there. Even the airport wasn't functioning properly.” Now it’s different. It has become better connected and is seeing rapid development. That transformation was the point.

He contrasted this with what came before. He claimed that earlier governments just failed to deliver infrastructure, jobs, or welfare schemes. There was a sense of historical grievance mixed in there.

Artisans tied to Mubarakpur’s famous saree and black pottery industries benefited under the BJP government’s One District One Product scheme. That felt like tangible proof for him.

The district now has better connections. The Purvanchal Expressway, upgraded roads, airport infrastructure it means faster travel to Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj. Things are moving faster now.

A lot of the speech touched on Maharaja Suheldev. Yogi framed him as a national hero who fought off foreign invaders. He stressed that no foreign invader should be glorified. The government is working to honor Suheldev through memorials and institutions. That university in Azamgarh, named after him? It will get a grand equestrian statue.

He linked this historical narrative to the present action. He brought up the Ram Mandir construction in Ayodhya. He implied that previous governments Congress, Samajwadi Party they just failed to fix things.

Then came the law and order part. This was where the tone shifted again, becoming much harder. Yogi warned about land grabbing. If anyone grabs the land of the poor, or compromises the safety of daughters or harasses traders, the government simply can’t guarantee safety for those offenders. It felt like a direct threat against anyone trying to operate outside the established lines.

The closing promise was about the ‘double-engine government’ model. He urged people to back that approach and promised continued work to make Azamgarh safer, richer, and better connected. There were several senior BJP leaders, ministers, even local figures like Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’, present there too. It felt like a very political gathering all around.
