Emraan Hashmi: Haridwar Ruckus, Film Updates, and Upcoming Projects

Actor Emraan Hashmi . Right now he’s in Haridwar , Uttarakhand. Shooting something new. Details? Nothing official yet. But there’s a video out there from the set, and it blew up on social media. Locals apparently objected to some sign they used while filming.

Ruckus over a signboard. That’s what happened. They had put up this fake restaurant setup for the shoot. A board that just said “Cafe & Bar.” And that caused trouble. It didn't sit right with some people in Haridwar. Especially using the word "Bar." You know, in a holy city.

The video surfaced online. It showed the argument. Locals versus the crew. Emraan Hashmi himself wasn't in it. But you could see security around. And someone from the production side trying to smooth things over. A guy trying to calm down the heat.

It seems like the locals felt the word "Bar" was just disrespectful. It undermined the whole religious feel of Haridwar. The argument seemed to flare up right when they spotted that setup being made for the cameras. It wasn’t some planned protest, more an immediate reaction to what was happening on the ground.

Emraan hasn't said anything about this mess. Silence. No statement issued regarding the ruckus on set. Just quiet.

Meanwhile, other stuff is going on with Hashmi. He’s been seen meeting fans in Uttarakhand. Videos circulating show him around there for shoots. It confirms he is indeed in the state right now. But still no official word on which film it is or who’s behind it.

On the work front, though, things are moving fast. Emraan has a couple of big projects lined up. Awarapan 2 and that Telugu film G2 .

The makers for Awarapan 2 actually wrapped filming a few days ago. They dropped the news on Instagram. Something like, “OGs know this isn’t just a wrap. He came back for you.” And then the release date popped up: August 14th. That's when it hits cinemas.

But there’s another film looming. Batwara 1947 . Sunny Deol is involved there too. It’s slated for that same Independence Day weekend slot. So, two big films fighting for screen time around the same date. It’ll be interesting to watch how that box office battle plays out. Between Awarapan 2 and whatever else is coming down the line.

That's the picture right now. A bit messy. Stuff happening far away from the glamour of the big movie deals. Just some local friction mixed with Bollywood schedules.
