Man Allegedly Chopped Off Hands in Petrol Pump Attack

A 28-year-old man was critically hurt. His hands, they claim, were allegedly chopped off with an axe. This happened after some argument at a petrol pump in Mahoba district, Uttar Pradesh. Police are looking into it.
The incident occurred around eleven o'clock on Tuesday night outside the Chandel Petrol Pump, along the Kanpur-Sagar Highway. Just refueling, according to the victim’s family, Jaivendra Singh Vikki when things went sideways. They said there was no history of fighting between him and whoever attacked him. Still, the dispute somehow exploded into violence. The accused allegedly used an axe against Vikki before running away from the spot.
The injuries are horrific. Police reported grievous harm to the victim. Hands were severed right at the wrists. He also had serious damage to one leg. And multiple deep wounds to his head. People walking by found him lying there, covered in blood, and that’s when they called the police.
Family members rushed over fast once they got word about what happened. Vikki's mother tried to stop the bleeding immediately. She tied cloth around his severed wrists and head before they managed to get him to the hospital.
He was first taken to the district hospital for emergency care. Doctors stabilized him there, but because the injuries were so bad, they moved him to a bigger medical center.
The family has made a claim, though. They are alleging that some local politician might have been involved in this attack and they are demanding serious action against those people responsible. The police are investigating now based on what the family reported. They are checking CCTV footage from the pump and the area around it.
So far, they’ve managed to detain one suspect for questioning. But finding everyone else involved? That’s still underway. It’s a mess, you know. Just raw facts coming out of this situation.
