Surrender in Fatal Hit-and-Run Case Involving Former Minister's Son

Aarav, you know, the son of that former Andhra Pradesh minister and senior YSRCP leader Seediri Appalaraju, he finally surrendered to the police. It happened in connection with that fatal hit-and-run case in Srikakulam district.

Investigators sort of figured it out after they looked at the CCTV footage and other bits of evidence. They pointed to him as the rider involved in the crash on July 10th. That surrender came days after all this examination started.

The accident itself was rough. It happened on the old National Highway, near Kasibugga. A speeding motorcycle allegedly just rammed into D Danayya. He was a shepherd, 45 years old, walking along the roadside. Danayya died right there. Instantaneous.

Things got messy fast because of Siddharth. Siddharth, who was Aarav’s friend and apparently owned that motorcycle, he started claiming responsibility for the whole crash. It was controversial right from the start. Police took that statement and registered a case against him immediately.

That caused a lot of noise. The victim's family and local folks started alleging they were trying to shield the former minister’s son. A classic deflection.

But then the focus shifted, didn't it?

The police really dug into things. They launched this detailed investigation. They looked at footage from a petrol pump. Surveillance cameras along that whole route. And what they found... well, that changed everything.

The videos showed Aarav refueling the motorcycle just before the accident. Then later, him riding it on the highway around the time of the crash. The evidence seemed to establish something different. It suggested Aarav was actually riding when that terrible thing happened. Not Siddharth.

And there were other things surfacing too. Videos came out showing former minister Appalaraju taking his injured son to a private hospital in Kasibugga that same night. Apparently, Aarav had some minor injuries face and hands from the incident itself.

After all those efforts trying to trace him down... he eventually showed up. He appeared before the Kasibugga Police Station on Monday. Accompanied by his lawyers, he surrendered. They took him into custody for questioning. The probe is definitely still ongoing regarding how this whole thing unfolded.
