Global Congratulations for Prime Minister Modi's Record Tenure

Congratulations kept coming in from leaders globally for Prime Minister Modi. It’s a massive milestone, really. He’s now India’s longest-serving democratically elected prime minister four thousand three hundred ninety-nine days in office. That puts him ahead of Nehru's record.
Israel’s Foreign Ministry put it out there on Wednesday. They highlighted the friendship between them that keeps growing, extending their wishes to him. It was a nice note about shared bonds.
Then you see things shifting across the board. South Korean President Lee Jae Myung also sent Greetings. He pointed out Modi led India through this growth and development period. Said he played an important role in boosting India’s standing internationally. There's this talk about trust, that people trust his leadership.
He brought up that Korea-India Special Strategic Partnership. They talked about wanting to build more of that future growth, innovation. He really hoped they could build something tangible between the two nations now. Good health for the Indian people is what he wished for most.
Over in Ethiopia, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali congratulated him too. Called Modi his elder brother and dear friend. A very personal touch there.
He made sure to mention how Modi’s governance has done things. Lifted millions out of poverty. Rolled out digital infrastructure at a massive scale. Driven huge infrastructure growth. Economic progress, rapid stuff. He framed it as being a strong voice for the Global South.
Meanwhile, in Europe, the big players stepped in too. The European Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen and the European Council President António Costa both sent congratulations.
Von Der Leyen wrote to X. She said today Modi is becoming the longest-serving Prime Minister India has had. Congratulations. And she linked it to something bigger India landing on the moon, now shooting for the stars. Their friendship too. It’s all connected in that way.
She mentioned their cooperation across tech, mobility, security, defence... right down to trade deals. A lot achieved together, she noted.
Costa followed up. He said under Modi's vision, relations between the EU and India are stronger than ever. This felt real after that summit earlier this year. He looked forward to more partnership and friendship continuing.
Even Italy caught up. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni congratulated him too. She posted something saying congratulations for being the longest-serving elected PM in Indian history. Then she brought up their recent meeting in Rome. A pleasure to meet again there, launching that Special Strategic Partnership aimed at creating new opportunities for both nations and peoples.
It’s all these little threads connecting friendships, development, shared vision. Just a bunch of reactions rolling in about this longevity.
