Lock Upp Season 2: New Contestants, Hosts, and Intense Reality Show Details

Lock Upp just got renewed. Ekta Kapoor’s digital reality show, Lock Upp , it started in 2022, and now they’re doing it again. And this time, things are getting bigger. They’re heading to Netflix on June 27th.
A list of people they might bring in tentative contestants has surfaced. Some names already popping up are pretty high-profile. Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja is on the list. Then there’s Shivangi Joshi, that popular TV actress. And Shilpa Shinde too. She made headlines recently after she admitted to filing false sexual harassment charges against Sanjay Kohli, the producer of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain .
It’s a strange mix, isn't it? High drama right alongside this show.
There were some hints about who might be involved in the promo for Season 2. Host Farah Khan talked about someone who went through a huge weight loss transformation. Fans immediately thought she meant Ram Kapoor. And then there were reports popping up about Ranveer Allahbadia joining too. Just floating around.
Then you have the other names mentioned: Splitsvilla folks like Yogesh Rawat and Akanksha Choudhary. Plus some old Bigg Boss contestants Priyank Sharma, Vikas Gupta, Rashami Desai, Puneet Superstar, Archana Gautam, Urvashi Dholakia, Pranit More, Asim Riaz, Kusha Kapila, and Harshad Chopra. It’s a lot of names thrown into the mix.
And who’s hosting now? Last season Kangana Ranaut hosted, Munawar Faruqui won. But this time, it’s Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh taking the reins as the 'Jailers'.
The setup itself is intense. Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa . Fourteen well-known personalities get locked up inside a controlled, high-pressure jail environment. It's nothing like anything you see in other Indian reality entertainment right now. They’re cut off from everything. Stripped of comfort. Forced into tasks that push them hard.
The inmates have to deal with shifting alliances and some really tough choices. Every move matters because the whole narrative can flip in an instant. It isn't just about surviving the jail, though. That's not the main point.
It’s about perception. About confessions. Everything hiding underneath that surface image. The show lets them reveal stories they usually keep locked away. Truth becomes something tangible there. A currency you can use to get free.
Over six weeks, these inmates face daily tasks. Status hierarchies. Chargesheets. Punishments. Eliminations. It’s all designed to test sheer survival instincts. As the pressure mounts up and it does secrets leak out. Alliances shatter and reform. Nothing stays predictable for long. Just raw reaction unfolding.
