Netflix India Teaming Up with Author for New Web Series Adaptation

Reports are swirling that Netflix India is actually teaming up with her for something new.
They’re adapting her romance novel, “Too Good To Be True,” into a web series. That’s the deal.
Variety India mentioned it.
This adaptation is supposed to kick off production later this year. You see how it all started, YouTube, then acting, then writing, then producing her own stuff.
She’s got a good track record already. Think ‘Mismatched,’ that hit romance. Then films like ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo,’ ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari,’ and a few others. And she was even in ‘Single Papa’ with Kunal Kemmu and Neha Dhupia recently.
Now, about the book itself. It’s all about Avani, a law student working at a bookstore, and Aman, this rich, charismatic CEO. The story follows their slow burn, trying to sort out old stuff, navigating their twenties, all set against that Mumbai backdrop. It’s got those witty conversations.
Prajakta Koli would be playing Avani. The guy playing Aman? That’s still TBD, they haven’t finalized him yet. And who’s directing it? No director is confirmed either.
She actually started writing this during the lockdown. She was thinking it could be a long format thing, you know? But she decided to just publish it as a novel instead. She seems really excited now about seeing it actually become a web series.
Her slate is already packed. She’s got the final season of ‘Mismatched’ coming up soon on Netflix India. And she’s involved in something bigger too, ‘Operation Safed Sagar.’ That one has Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Verma, Mihir Ahuja in it. She’s also in the second season of ‘Single Papa,’ which they announced earlier this year. It just keeps moving.
