Droupadi Murmu Congratulates PM Modi on Milestone of Leadership

Droupadi Murmu congratulated Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday. It was about him hitting a massive milestone India’s longest continuously elected Prime Minister. She said it really showed how much confidence the people have repeatedly placed in his leadership over these years.
In a letter she sent to PM Modi, the President made it clear that this wasn't just some number about time spent in office. It was about the trust voters had kept through every election cycle. That kind of enduring faith, she noted, is one of the highest things you can give someone.
She wrote something like this: “As the people mark this milestone, completing 4,399 days dedicated to serving the nation as Prime Minister, I offer my warmest congratulations to you.”
But it wasn't just about duration. President Murmu brought up the actual work. She really focused on how PM Modi has treated the marginalized and downtrodden sections of society. Think about PM-JANMAN. It’s more than just some administrative move. It shows a deep sensitivity toward the most vulnerable folks in Bharat.
She recalled witnessing the struggles faced by Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups across generations. That compassion, that commitment to lifting up those at the very bottom of the line that really stuck with her. It wasn't just policy; it felt like genuine care for some of India’s most fragile citizens.
Then there was the focus on development. She pointed out how the government has paid special attention to regions that historically lagged behind. Especially in the Eastern and North-Eastern parts of India. These areas, they needed a serious look.
She said this attention wasn't random. It reflected a kind of people-centric governance. The idea was simple: no community or citizen should be left behind on this development journey.
“Regions that stayed outside the main arc of India’s growth story have finally gotten special care under your leadership,” she wrote. “This is especially true for the East and Northeast, where development indicators had been way behind. It shows a spirit of governance focused on people, making sure the benefits actually reach the last person.”
The real measure of public service, that’s what she insisted. It isn't just about the years ticking by in history books. History records the time spent. But the people remember how those years changed their lives. How they got opportunities. How their faith in the future grew stronger.
She concluded with a sense of forward-looking hope. She expressed confidence that PM Modi’s commitment to inclusion, to service, and national development would keep steering India where it needs to go. It’s about transforming lives, realizing hopes. That seems to be the ultimate goal. Congratulations again on this historic moment.
