Pranit More: Controversy, History, and Public Reaction

Pranit More. The name surfaces in the middle of something ugly. Comedian, contestant from Bigg Boss 19 . Now he’s caught up in this massive stir because of some clip that blew up online from one of his crowd shows. Just plain messy.
The whole thing kicked off with an audience member. Himanshu Jangra. He made comments. Not good ones. He suggested something really inappropriate about spending money, specifically Rs 370 on chicken biryani for a woman, and then implied he expected some kind of physical reward in return. The clip itself was posted around, and it just ignited this huge wave of anger online. People were asking themselves why that segment even got edited. Why it was put out there in the first place? It felt deliberately nasty.
And all this noise happens while other stuff is happening. You have to remember the old history too. The tension between Pranit and Salman Khan. That wasn't new, not at all. It’s been simmering for a while now. Back when Pranit was on Bigg Boss 19 , there were those stand-up routines that popped up online. Jokes about Salman. About his personal life, the farmhouse that place in Panvel. The legal stuff, career drama.
One particular joke resurfaced recently. It involved the farmhouse and women visiting it. Pranit made a jab at someone in the audience. He asked about a ring, something that looked like Salman’s turquoise bracelet. Then he joked about whether she had been to the actor’s property. Just lighthearted banter, or maybe not. The reaction was harsh. Criticism followed immediately.
This whole mess spilled over into the Bigg Boss arena itself. During the first Weekend Ka Vaar episode, things got serious between Salman and Pranit. Salman didn't let it slide. He directly addressed Pranit about that old material. It wasn’t subtle. He made it clear he was unhappy with jokes. Jokes that crossed a line. Promos from that episode showed him confronting the comedian over what they called "below-the-belt" remarks.
Salman said something blunt to Pranit then. Something like, “I know everything you’ve said to me that isn't right. You were trying to make people laugh back then, using my name. You went beneath the belt.” It was a direct confrontation. A real moment of tension played out on screen.
Then, after all this online uproar exploded from the Himanshu Jangra incident, Pranit did something. He posted an apology on Instagram. It wasn't some grand statement. Just admitting he messed up. Admitting that laughing at someone who made derogatory remarks about a woman was a mistake. He said he needed to learn from it and take that lesson forward. A very standard reaction, maybe, but it felt rushed against the backdrop of all the public heat.
It’s just this cycle, isn't it? How quickly things turn ugly when you put people in the spotlight. One moment, a joke is made. The next, it becomes evidence of something bigger. And that history between Pranit and Salman, those old digs they always seem to find a way back into the light. It’s not just about the immediate clip anymore. It's about all the layers underneath.
The way these things spread online is weird. You see one piece, then you connect it to another thing you saw last week. The pacing of news is so frantic sometimes. Everything happens so fast. There’s no room for breathing. Just reaction after reaction.
Think about that confrontation on the show. It wasn't just about a joke. It was about boundaries. Where do you draw the line? Especially when you are famous, or involved in such high-profile shows. The audience members, they feel they have some power, somehow. And the people who make the jokes, well, they get dragged into it.
That apology afterwards felt like a necessary move, I guess. A way to try and smooth things over, to signal that he saw the mistake. But you can’t erase the noise. The clip is out there. The history is simmering beneath. It just keeps spinning.
