Sohail Khan joins Prime Video's *Alliance* as contestant

Sohail Khan just confirmed he’s going into Prime Video’s new show, Alliance , as a contestant. It’s definitely ramped up public interest for this thing.
He spent some time reflecting on jumping into reality TV, talking about wanting to actually show everyone something different. He stressed that he doesn't want to just be seen as Salman Khan’s brother. Not just that.
Sohail put it quite plainly when he spoke about the experience. He said there’s no family name attached to him in this setup. No industry clout weighing him down. It’s just him, his head, and how he plays the game. That felt important for him.
“If people walk away seeing a side of me they didn’t expect, good,” he mentioned. “That’s exactly why I’m here.”
He admitted he never actually thought he could be on a reality show as a contestant at all. He watched Salman hosting Bigg Boss and thought, well, that space wasn't for him. He saw the energy, the drama, the sheer emotional toll involved. “That’s his space,” he said.
But then there was the shift in perspective regarding what kind of show this actually is. He contrasted it with Salman’s format. Salman’s show deals with personalities, conflicts, and raw emotions. This one felt totally different. It wasn't about that stuff at all.
“This is a game of the mind,” Sohail explained. “Strategy. Outwitting people without them even realizing they’ve been outwitted. That challenge appealed to me in a way nothing else has.”
Salman Khan’s reaction to him joining was also mentioned. He was intrigued, apparently. Then came that classic warning mixed with approval: “You sure you know what you’re getting into?” Knowing Salman, it sounds like both a caution and an endorsement. Sohail just said, “I’ll take it.”
People were also wondering about the Khan family dynamic if they were all involved in something like this. If they entered a reality show, there are some easy guesses about who would fill which role.
Sohail suggested Salman would obviously be the leader. He just walks into any room and everything rearranges itself around him. That’s pretty straightforward. Then he looked at Arbaaz Khan, you know, the actor-director. Sohail figured that guy would probably be the peacemaker. Someone who listens, smooths things over, keeps everyone grounded.
But for the actual master strategist? He leaned toward himself, but then quickly pivoted. He pointed to his mother, Salma Khan. She’s been handling this whole family thing for decades. Three sons, three different personalities, three egos running around. If that isn't some kind of master-level strategy, he didn't know what was.
Fans are clearly hyped now. They want to see how Sohail actually shows his personality under the pressure. New episodes of Alliance drop every day on Amazon Prime Video at noon. It’s happening now.
