Sadie Sink on Bittersweet Feelings After Stranger Things Finale

Sadie Sink has been talking about feeling kind of bittersweet lately, you know? About the end of Stranger Things .

She’s 24 now. She got her big break playing Max Mayfield in that show, right? Between 2017 and 2025. And now she admits watching the finale brought up a lot of mixed feelings. Reports are coming out about this from ‘Female First UK’.

She told Nylon magazine about it. She was watching it with her brother. He started crying first, then she did too. He looked at them like, “Are you guys actually crying?” Just completely bittersweet stuff.

Then there’s the time jump. Ten years has passed. It’s seen us through so much. All good things have to end eventually. That kind of thing settles in.

She mentioned that while she was away filming, she starred in a West End production of Romeo and Juliet . She really loved being in London, felt like she made a home there for a bit. But she’s going back to New York when the show wraps up. A little hesitation, though.

Sadie said it felt like such a chapter, being in London, feeling settled. So leaving, going back home it’s weird. She said, “Wait, I don’t know.” Missing home. The cats are ready to go back. They keep telling her stuff all the time.

It’s kind of complicated, this whole thing. Remember when she talked about growing up on TV? Being protected from the pressure of fame. Glamour got that story out. She felt really shielded by the people around her. And herself too. Super protective of who she was.

But then there's the balancing act. She struggled with trying to fit in those frustrations with knowing she’re in a fortunate spot right now. It’s a tough thing, realizing all this success while still feeling things.

She added something about when things got rough, or when she felt totally overwhelmed by pressure she just couldn't talk about it. Because it was such an amazing thing happening. Sometimes you just don’t feel like you can bring up complaints or struggles then. It just sits there.
