The Viral Success and Impact of Panchayat and its Cast

Modi, you know how he does it. He throws something out there an Instagram reel this time and suddenly everyone stops scrolling. It was Tuesday. He shared a clip featuring actors from Panchayat , Durgesh Kumar and Ashok Pathak. Just a moment for the fans to smile, that’s what it felt like.
The real hook wasn't just the meeting itself, though that was there. It was the music. He used the theme song from Panchayat in the background of the reel. Suddenly, it went viral online. Massive reaction.
It happened during the Republic Summit, you see. Modi shaking hands with some guests, Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela included. And among them? Durgesh Kumar and Ashok Pathak. The actors who play Bhushan and Ashok Pathak Binod, for those of us watching. They exchanged smiles with him. A bit of celebrity touch thrown into the political mix.
The caption they put on it was simple: “A few moments with Binod.” Just a nod to one of the characters everyone loves from that show. It just landed.
And Panchayat itself, well, it’s still huge. It keeps running, gaining this insane popularity. They just dropped the fourth season, and Prime Video is already talking about the fifth. The latest installment? That opening was massive. Seriously cementing its spot as one of those shows India is obsessed with right now.
Durgesh Kumar and Ashok Pathak, they’ve become fan favorites, mostly because of their roles. Bhushan, or Banrakas that character stuck with people. Even though they started out as supporting antagonists in the earlier parts, they slowly turned into some of the most beloved faces on screen. It’s that gradual shift you see.
Looking at what they’ve done is interesting. For Durgesh, Panchayat was a real milestone. His career started picking up steam after things like Highway . He’s got credits in films like Sultan , Sanju , Dhadak . And then he gets into the streaming world.
Ashok Pathak has been steady in cinema for years stuff like Bittoo Boss , Shanghai , even 102 Not Out . But Panchayat felt like a breakthrough moment for him, really introducing Binod to so many new eyes. It gave that character real traction.
Now, the waiting game continues, doesn't it? Everyone is fixated on the next chapter. Fans are desperately wanting Panchayat Season 5 .
There’s news about Faisal Malik, who plays Prahlad Pandey in the series. He spoke up recently about where things stand with the upcoming season. He said the shoot is almost done now. It will wrap up soon. That’s the big update we’ve been waiting for, I guess.
But you can’t forget that Season 4 came out back in June 2025. And even though we have this chatter about Season 5 being near completion, nobody has an official release date yet. It just hangs there.
