Diljit Dosanjh Show Interrupted: Security, Flags, and Historical Context

Diljit Dosanjh’s show in San Francisco got interrupted. Apparently, a guy carrying a Khalistan flag managed to get onto the stage during his Aura World Tour performance. Videos are already circulating online, showing security pulling him off the stage while Diljit was still performing. It happened right there at the Chase Center in California.

Clips show the singer dancing fine, then noticing the individual near him. Then security rushed in and escorted the person off. The whole thing stopped for a minute, but it got handled fast enough.

Other videos surfaced showing local police detaining the guy outside the venue later on. Reports say he was removed and arrested after the disruption. It wasn't a huge mess, just a quick halt to the show.

But this isn’t the first time things have gone sideways for Dosanjh. There are similar reports about other parts of his Aura World Tour. This whole situation feels familiar now.

Earlier this year, during a concert in Canada, something similar happened. A group allegedly brought pro-Khalistan slogans and separatist flags inside the venue. Security dealt with that too.

Dosanjh addressed it on Instagram Stories after that. He was pretty clear about what he wouldn't allow. “Standing outside protesting anyone can do that. But if you try to come inside and harass my fans, that won’t be tolerated.”

He went on to talk about flags and banners. He said bringing one usually means they want to show where they came from, that they support him. But standing out there with the same thing and trying to cause trouble? That’s not okay.

“This isn't about any banner or flag,” he wrote. “The real issue is your intention behind it.” He insisted security should just remove anyone disrupting the program. No spreading fake narratives.

It sounds like this has been weighing on him since last year, but now he’s saying he won’t wait anymore. Love and peace emoji followed his message.

Now things get really tangled because of other stuff floating around too. Concerns about security at some of Dosanjh’s overseas shows have been hanging there since late 2025. It got bigger after the singer appeared on Kaun Banega Crorepati seventeen, touching Amitabh Bachchan’s feet during that episode.

Bachchan praised him, calling him ‘Punjab da puttar,’ and mentioned his work in flood relief. But this brought up other noise. Sikhs for Justice, a group linked to the pro-Khalistan movement, got involved.

Reports say their leader, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, criticized Dosanjh’s appearance then. They alleged that Diljit somehow “insulted every victim, every widow, and every orphan of the 1984 Sikh Genocide” by touching Bachchan’s feet. There are claims that Amitabh Bachchan publicly incited mobs with slogans like ‘Khoon Ka Badla Khoon’ back in October of ’84. Bachchan denied those accusations then, of course. It’s a lot of history colliding with these current events.
