Mahaprabhu Jagannath: The Biggest Animated Film Launch

The trailer for Mahaprabhu Jagannath dropped, and it wasn't just a movie launch. It was something bigger.
It happened during an ongoing Shrimad Bhagwat Katha in Cuttack, Odisha. Pujya Shri Indresh Upadhyay Maharaj Ji unveiled it. A massive deal. The whole thing took place in front of over ten thousand devotees. It became the biggest physical trailer launch for any animation film India has ever seen. Just unbelievable scale.
The crowd went wild. Chants of “Jai Jagannath” just exploded as the visuals flashed across the screens. It felt like a moment where ancient spiritual storytelling suddenly smashed right into modern theatrical art. A real blend.
This isn't just some cartoon. It’s heralded as the first pan-India animated feature focusing on Lord Jagannath that we’ve ever seen on screen. They used world-class animation to take something ancient and make it feel totally relatable, especially for kids. The trailer really nailed the core message: devotion, unity, faith. It showed that sweet, compassionate bond between Jagannath and everyone who loves him.
You could feel the energy in the room watching it. Electric.
Durga Prasad Dalai, the producer and founder of Ele Animations Pvt. Ltd., was just buzzing. He shared his excitement right there. “Seeing ten thousand hearts beating together in devotion while watching our trailer… I can’t put that into words,” he said. It proved something huge. When you take rich Indian heritage and wrap it in this kind of visual spectacle, it hits everyone. The youngest kid, the oldest family member. We made this to keep those roots alive for the next generation. Something thrilling. Something vibrant.
He looked straight ahead. “We are ready to take this divine energy from the holy pavilions,” he said. “Straight to the big screens across India.”
This whole venture is packed. It brings together a ton of creative talent and production muscle, all under Ele Animations Pvt. Ltd. They’re building on the success of their Jay Jagannath TV series. But this film has a different vision. Director Shripad Warkhedkar is steering it. He brought a really compelling, emotional narrative to the screen. Pallavi Sharma wrote the screenplay and the dialogues. And Aviral Kumar? He scored it. A soul-stirring musical track that gives the epic story its weight.
It’s massive production power behind it all.
So where does it go next? The hype is real. Following that huge launch, Mahaprabhu Jagannath is hitting the cinemas across the country on July 10th. Hindi, Odia, and Telugu. Get ready for this one.
