Ranveer Singh's Next Big Project: Details on Pralay and Filming Plans

Ranveer Singh seems to be riding something good right now. Professionally, personally. He’s excited about being a dad again. His wife, Deepika Padukone, is pregnant with their second kid.
And then there’s the next big thing: Pralay . He’s gearing up for that one. Reports say he might start shooting for Jai Mehta’s film in August. That’s the plan, at least.
But things got a little more interesting recently. Ranveer was spotted near Hansal Mehta’s office. The filmmaker, his dad, apparently. But he wasn't showing his face. Full-face mask on. A cap too. He made sure no one saw him leaving. Trying to keep the new look for Pralay private from the media.
Later stuff about that project. It’s massive, this Pralay . Post-apocalyptic thriller. Mumbai gone zombie-ridden. A married couple just trying to survive the chaos. The budget alone is huge three hundred crore rupees estimated. It might be his biggest venture yet. He's also co-producing it under Ma Kasam Films.
Now, where does the shooting happen? Some chatter points toward Australia. That’s where they plan to shoot a big chunk of it. And Kalyani Priyadarshan is lined up for the lead role. She was seen recently in Lokah . This would be her Hindi film debut too.
There’s talk about timelines, though. Reports suggest he'll keep filming Pralay until Diwali. Then, paternity break time. Production might pause then. It needs a lot of physical and emotional stuff for this kind of scale.
One source mentioned something about the shoot starting in the second half of 2026, planned in Australia already. Prep is underway. Intense work, that kind of film demands it. Just waiting to see how it all shakes out.
