Amazon MX Player Trailer for *Made in India – A Titan Story*

Amazon MX Player just dropped the trailer for their new series, Made in India – A Titan Story . It’s based on the actual journey of the Titan brand, one of those big Indian consumer names.
The inspiration comes from Vinay Kamath’s book, Titan – India’s Most Successful Consumer Brand .
The cast looks heavy. Naseeruddin Shah is playing JRD Tata. And Jim Sarbh is Xerxes Desai. They’ve got Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Namita Dubey, Lakshvir Saran, and Kaveri Seth joining them too.
It’s six episodes. Written by Karan Vyas, directed by Robbie Grewal, and Almighty Motion Pictures produced it all.
What the show actually does is follow Titan’s rise, set against the backdrop of pre-liberalized India. It’s about that time—all the massive economic and social shifts happening, and the vision behind trying to build an Indian watch brand then.
The trailer hints at the partnership between Xerxes Desai and JRD Tata. They’re wrestling with creating something homegrown, pushing past all the uncertainty. It starts as just an idea about watches, but it morphs into a whole legacy tied up with India itself.
Amogh Dusad, who heads content over at Amazon MX Player, spoke about it. He said it’s more than just a brand story. It’s about the sheer ambition, the entrepreneurial grit that defined a huge part of India’s narrative. He tied it back to the Make in India idea, celebrating those visionaries who built big things right here.
Shah, playing JRD Tata, talked about the character. He found JRD Tata fascinating because of that quiet confidence. The way he made people dream bigger, without needing to shout it. It’s about spotting potential and trusting it, which feels kind of rare now. He added that the series isn't just about building a company. It’s about the people, the belief, and the guts to back an idea when you don’t know the outcome.
Jim Sarbh, Xerxes Desai, focused on that side of it. He felt Xerxes was rebellious, unafraid to just imagine things that didn't exist yet. He loved that even though the story has big ambition, it’s really about the human stuff—the persistence, the instinct, believing in something before anyone else does. Playing Xerxes and working on this layered story has been exciting.
So, when can we see it? Made in India – A Titan Story is coming June 3, 2026. It streams free on Amazon MX Player. You can catch it on your mobile, connected TVs, Prime Video, Fire TV, JioTV, Airtel Xstream, and even the Amazon shopping app.
