Littering and Outrage in Gulmarg: A Call for Action

That clip from Gulmarg. It looks like someone just dumped everything there after some shoot.
The video itself, pulled from an Instagram page called Himalayan_Edges , just blew up people’s minds online.
Clearly left behind after whatever activity happened there.
He starts talking. He says something like, “Brothers, this is a disgrace for the film crew who came to Gulmarg for a shoot. Just look.
Then he pivots to the tourists. He points out that the bikers always clean up, and it’s just shameful that this mess is left lying around. He asks, what are the tourists supposed to see? Thousands come here for the beauty, but what do they get?
The camera just keeps showing the mess. You can see the snow tracks nearby, signs that people were moving around, but zero effort to clear this waste. It’s just sitting there. Unmoved.
At the end of the clip, he basically throws a plea out there. He asks everyone to share it. He wants people to see those who come here to film, ruin this natural beauty.
And that’s when the reaction hit. People were furious.
One user immediately jumped in. “Exactly, Nikhil bhai! Strict penalties, blacklisting, real monitoring on the ground is what’s needed right now. Otherwise, this just keeps happening. People need to understand these places aren't their dustbins.”
Another one was just pure anger. “Seriously? Uncivilized lot.”
It felt like a general outburst. People were yelling about civic sense. It wasn’t just about the film crew anymore. It became this big thing about how Indians act. One person commented something like, “Gulmarg or Gurugram. Just lack of basic sense. Punitive action is what’s needed.”
There was even a call for heavy consequences. Someone stated that all the crew members should be arrested. Asked them to clean up the entire mess and do it for a month.
It just spread. People were demanding action from the authorities. They wanted to see some kind of example set. It’s all about making sure these places, this natural beauty, aren’t just disposable spots for some temporary mess.
