Player Reflects on Contribution and Pressure in Playoff Win

He seemed genuinely satisfied, still feeling the weight of it, helping RCB grab those two points needed for the playoffs.
“It’s still very fresh,” he said in a video released by RCB. “But I’m really happy I could contribute, especially when the team needed it most. It’s quite satisfying. And you know, wins like this always help, right? A lot of gratitude.”
Walking in during that tense chase, when Bengaluru was already reeling at 39/3, Krunal talked about his approach. He said he just tried to soak up the pressure first. The pitch in Raipur was a real headache for batters, making everything just plain tricky.
When he went in, three wickets down, the intent was clear: get into a good spot. He mentioned chatting with Beth (Jacob Bethell). A lot of credit went to Beth, sticking with it, and they managed to build a decent partnership, about forty to fifty runs.
Then there was the performance itself. The left-hander just absolutely hammered it. Seventy-three runs off forty-six balls. Four boundaries, five towering sixes.
But there was more than just the score. He was battling something physical too. Cramps. He fought through that pain.
“The cramps were really painful later on,” he admitted. “I was cramping in both legs. But I knew I wasn’t going out. I had to fight through that pain and contribute whatever I could. This game was huge for us. Every single game matters when you’re at the end of the tournament.” That was what he said after the match.
