Water Tank Incident and Accountability in Ajmer

Panic hit Ajmer , specifically in Vaishali Nagar , right along Eidgah Road . People saw water gushing out from the top of a water tank that had just been inaugurated. It immediately sparked serious worries about the whole thing failing, about structural damage among the locals.
Videos started circulating online fast. People were showing clips of the tank just letting out a powerful stream of water. Everyone was claiming that this barely two-month-old structure had just burst open because the construction was garbage.
But then you have the official side. The Water Resources Department stepped in. They completely dismissed the claims. Engineers said nothing broke. It wasn't a collapse.
They explained it was just an overflow. A pump kept running way past what the tank could handle. For almost an hour, that excess water spilled out. It looked like a fountain, nothing more.
Authorities did check it out right after. They confirmed the tank was still standing. Officials insisted, trying to calm things down, that there was no major damage. Just a normal situation.
Yet, the locals don't buy it. Many are pointing at cracks they can see. They’re questioning how strong this new tank really is.
The whole thing just went viral online. People were furious about the quality of the infrastructure. And who was actually responsible? Accountability? It felt zero.
One person posted something really sharp. “We stopped caring about corruption and accountability. We just kept fighting to survive. Nothing’s gonna happen. Nothing has happened.”
Another comment was just short. “Tank nahi jharna banaya hai.”
Then there was the sarcasm about the terminology. Someone called ‘COLLAPSE’ clickbait. Said the tank was just leaking.
Another one hit hard about the money. “Now they’ll ask for more budget than they needed to build it. Then they want to make money off this too. Who is responsible? Shame on the engineers who didn’t build something strong. It didn’t even last sixty days!!!!!!!” That one really stuck with you.
